Truss rod adjustment (2)

Double-action truss rod for stringed instruments

When your guitar is tuned, a tension is applied on the neck. The truss rod is designed to compensate for this load and insure the straightness of the neck.

If a warpage happens in the neck or on the fretboard (or if we use a different string gauge), we can reajust the truss rod with an « Allen key » by removing the cover located on the peghead. After this action, we will be able to adjust the hexagon-sharped truss nut.  The truss rod is accessible by the sound hole.

The neck setting should be made exclusively by a qualified guitar technician. Bad setting can cause damages !

Every Boucher Guitars have a double action truss rod. We correct under bow by tightening the truss rod clockwise.  The neck will become increasingly convex. We correct over bow by tightening the truss rod counter-clockwise. The neck will become concave with more relief. This adjustment should be made by a qualified guitar technician.
